For the guys - looking after your body
When becoming a teenager, guys can experience a lot of physical and emotional changes and it can be a confusing time.
During puberty, guys experience the deepening of their voice, growth of hair on the face, underarms and genital area and the start of erections.
It’s really important to look after your body, mind and sexual health in order to stay healthy. Looking after your sexual health means not only making sure your penis and testicles stay healthy and free from genital infections but that you are emotionally happy.
As you become more sexually active, you will also need to consider the importance of:
- safe sex
- contraception and the use of condoms
- the value of having regular sexual health checks
- your ability to negotiate sexual experiences that are healthy and right for you.
