Kids on Track successfully applied for funding through Golden Casket’s Rainbow Kids. This funding has provided for the purchase of essential resources and equipment.
The team has presented its findings at several conferences. Some include: The International Physical Activity and Obesity Congress in Brisbane in September 2006, the Obesity Prevention and Treatment Society 2006 Symposium at Noosa,2006; the Gold Coast Health and Medical Research Conference, 2006; and the 6th Annual Health & Medical Research Conference of Qld (2006).
The project has adopted two new pilot sites including the Sunshine Coast and Bayside (Brisbane). This will allow support for families across a wide geographic area in South East Queensland. It will also provide the project team with feedback from presenters about the utility and flexibility of the program.
