Clermont Multi-Purpose Health Service

The Clermont Health Service offers a range of services including 24 hour emergency care, general medical, post-surgical, post-natal admissions and palliative care.

In addition, the Clermont Multi-Purpose Health Service has a number of visiting specialist services including dental, dietetics and diabetes education.  It also features a comprehensive list of community health services including home nursing and support; community mental health and mobile women’s health.

Dysart Hospital & Community Health

Located in the hinterland region of the Mackay Health Service District is the Dysart Hospital.  The hospital offers a range of services including general medical and surgical care as well as radiography, general outpatients, dressing clinics, antenatal clinics and a child health clinic.

Community health services such as counselling, mental health support, Home and Community Care (HACC) and various support groups are also available.

Glenden Community Health

Located in the heart of mining and farming community Glenden, the Glenden Community Health Centre offers a range of nursing services to residents including a well baby clinic, immunisation programs, community nursing, Triple P parenting programs, antenatal classes and aged care support.  These nursing services are also outreached to the nearby community of Nebo.

There is a range of visiting health services also available at Glenden Community Health including counselling, mental health support for both children and adults and speech pathology.  The mobile women’s health clinic and school based youth health nurse also visit Glenden regularly.

Middlemount Community Health

The Middlemount Community Health Centre is located some 250kms west of Mackay and offers a range of nursing services to residents including a well baby clinic, immunisation programs, community nursing, Triple P parenting programs, antenatal classes and school based vaccination programs. 

There is a range of visiting health services also available at Glenden Community Health including counselling, mental health support for both children and adults and speech pathology.  The mobile women’s health clinic and school based youth health nurse also visits Middlemount regularly.

Moranbah Hospital & Community Health

Moranbah Hospital offers a range of inpatient medical service such as general medical and surgical care as well as respite care.  Moranbah Hospital also offers specialist maternity and psychiatric services to patients and offers a comprehensive range of out-patient clinics including child health; antenatal clinic, dressing clinics, physiotherapy, counselling, aged care services, well women's clinic, and diabetic education just to name a few.

The Moranbah Community Health Centre’s list of services includes a variety of support groups, counselling, education and screening, home nursing visits and support; adult, child and youth mental health, speech pathology and radiographer/sonographer.

Aged care services are also available through the Moranbah Community Health Centre such as Meals on Wheels, home medical aids, home help, and day and in-home respite.
