MASS implemented a new Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) for continence aids on 1 February 2007. The Approved Continence Aids List (updated June 2008) and Continence Aids Supplier List provide information for prescribers on the new SOA products.
The last major change to MASS Continence Prescriber Procedures came into effect 1 July 2006 with minor changes in the December 2006 version to clarify clinical assessment responsibilities for prescribers to meet current best practice in continence care.
Refer to the General Information and updated Continence Aids Sections in the MASS Statewide Prescriber Procedures Manual for further information. Prescribers use the updated MASS 51 when requesting aids not included on the MASS continence approved aids list and the MASS 50 for initial and two-yearly clinical assessment applications. MASS clients use the MASS 55 re-application form. If you hand write your forms you may prefer these versions - MASS 50, MASS 51 or MASS 55.
