A trial is being conducted from 1st November 2008, whereby public sector podiatrists are approved as prescribers for medical grade footwear to MASS eligible clients. The continuation of this trial is subject to monitoring and review.
STATEWIDE PRESCRIBER PROCEDURE MANUAL - Refer to the General Information and updated Medical Grade Footwear Sections in the MASS Statewide Prescriber Procedures Manual for specific eligibility criteria and the medical grade footwear application process flow chart. Temporary subsidy increase for medical grade footwear on trial until further notice.
