Requirements to Practise | Australian Trained Graduates
Individuals wishing to work in Queensland as a doctor must be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Queensland.
The following doctors are eligible to apply for general registration:
- Graduates of an Australian or New Zealand medical course accredited by the Australian Medical Council (AMC)
- International medical graduates who have completed examinations to attain AMC certification
Registering your interest
There are a few things you should know about our online Expression of Interest process:
- Email correspondence is our primary method of communication - please ensure you carefully check the email address you supply on the form, and that you supply an address that you regularly check.
- Once you have submitted the form and your CV, your application will be assessed and you will be notified by email whether you meet the relevant criteria.
- Suitable applications will be circulated to Queensland Health hospitals and health care facilities in consideration of available vacancies and your location preference.
- Employing hospitals and health care facilities may request your participation in other recruitment selection processes (eg interview, written application etc) to further determine suitability for employment for specific positions.
- Many positions within the south-east corner of Queensland are highly sought after, so to increase the job options available to you, you may wish to consider locations outside of these areas.
