Application information for Resident Medical Officers and Registrars

Welcome to Queensland Health's RMO Recruitment and Placement Campaign for 2010.

Applications for Resident Medical Officer and Registrar positions in Queensland open on Tuesday 23 June 2009.

Applications close at 12 midnight (AEST), Monday 20 July 2009.

All applications must be made through the on-line recruitment and placement program. Written applications will not be accepted.

Lodge your application for a RMO or Registrar position in 2010. (Note: Please use Internet Explorer as your Browser as there are known issues with using Mozilla Firefox)

Australian citizens and permanent Australian resident medical practitioners who possess general medical registration, or who are otherwise registrable with the Medical Board of Queensland may apply for second or subsequent year House Officer and Registrar positions at various Queensland hospitals and facilities.

All current Queensland Health resident medical officers and registrars are reminded that they must apply for a position each year.

House Officers may be required to participate in the Queensland Country Relieving Doctors Program (QCRD) at regional and rural facilities.

Applicants seeking specialist training positions are strongly recommended to contact the relevant college to obtain information regarding a training program in addition to applying for Queensland hospital positions.

Medical Education Registrar positions

Queensland Health is supporting Registrars to increase their medical education expertise whilst maintaining their current salary and entitlements. These positions enable the successful Registrar to undertake a flexible training year and contribute to the field of medical education.
