As part of the National Health Reforms, the existing Metro South Health Service District will transition to an independent, Hospital and Health Service by 1 July 2012. As a statutory body we will be responsible for providing public health services to the geographic area of Brisbane's south side, Logan and Redland, under the leadership and management of a local Hospital and Health Board. We will provide the same outstanding level of care as we always have - but with more involvement from health professionals and the community in decisions affecting our clinical services.
