Metro South Health operates the largest oral health service in the state, providing services at dedicated oral health facilities, hospitals, community outreach clinics and schools throughout the region. It operates the expansive South Brisbane Dental Hospital in addition to providing a range of secondary and specialist care services.
Metro South Oral Health Services has established an ongoing relationship with universities for training of dental students with a large number of supervised clinical placements.
The service is also heavily involved with health promotion and research projects.
