"There are lots of opportunies within this service, especially with the development of the new unit.  People bring fresh ideas and new enthusiasm.  A new setting and a fresh start can only be positive".

Occupational therapist, Shele is positive about the new services in Redcliffe-Caboolture, Queensland.

"There are lots of opportunities here for professional development and a focus on education within the unit.  They provide a lot of ongoing education through the week.  There is financial support available as a nurse to attend professional development.  So there is a big focus on acutally utilising those funds to further your education".

Mental health nurse Stuart highlights Redcliffe-Caboolture's professional development support.

"Queensland Health offers so many opportunities for professional development, they run a lot of internal training programs and are happy to support external applications too.  Compared to some other organisations I have worked for, there seems to be a lot more support structures in Queensland Health, both informal and formal".
