Each Queensland Health District will have an Interpreter Service Coordinator who will coordinate the booking of interpreter services. These are the officers to contact if you have any concerns about interpreting services in your local Queensland Health service
The first point of contact about a health appointment should be the service you are visiting. If you do not know how to contact the service or are unable to contact the service and are concerned about whether an interpreter has been arranged, you may contact the HSD Interpreter Service Coordinator or ask your support worker to contact them. If your support worker is making enquiries on your behalf, you will need to authorise them to do so.
