Australia's first female triple organ transplant patient

Gold Coast resident Lucinda Winnem, 24, became Australia's first female to undergo a heart, liver and lung transplant during surgery at The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH) earlier this year. The 12-hour operation involved a combined surgical team from the Heart/Lung Transplant Unit at The Prince Charles Hospital and the Liver Transplant Unit at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
