Finalists - 2011 Queensland Health Healthcare Improvement Awards

Congratulations to the 2011 Queensland Health Healthcare Improvement Awards finalists.

The finalists whose projects delivered high quality healthcare programs were selected from nine theme categories by an independent panel of experts in the relevant fields.

 

Theme awards
1.   Skilling for the future: innovative skills and system development
2.  Improvement through leadership development: better culture, better care
3.  Consumer partnership: improving healthcare together
4.   Improving Indigenous health outcomes: closing the gap
5.  Better clinical practice: better patient outcomes
6.  Research informing healthcare improvement: from benchtop to bedside
7.  Right place, right time, right care: improving access to patient care
8.  Acute and chronic disease prevention: promoting better community health and wellbeing
9.  Non-clinical improvement initiatives: fostering collaboration towards health service delivery

Winners of each theme category, the Director-General's award for best demonstration of Queensland Health values and the Minister's award for best innovation will be announced during the awarding ceremony on Wednesday, 31 August 2011.
