  • Clinical education and training are core functions of Queensland Health – explicitly resourced, planned, managed and evaluated at all levels of the organisation.
  • Nurses/midwives are provided with relevant clinical development opportunities to enable demonstration of competence for their current role and career progression.
  • Nurses/midwives work within their scope of practice and the endorsed standards and competencies for the relevant professional organisation.
