Northern Downs District Health Council
Functions
The District Health Council provides a link between the community and health
services and is charged with the several functions under Queensland Government
Legislation:
- Identify and assess the Health Service needs of people living in the Councils
district;
- Participate in the development of the department's strategic plans for
the delivery of public health services in the district;
- Monitor compliance by the District Manager with budgets for the district;
- Monitor the quality of public health services delivered;
- Decide on priorities for minor capital works and assets management for
the district.
The District Health Council of Northern Downs Health Service District
meets monthly and welcomes suggestions and comments from residents who are
invited to contact the Council in writing.
