The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation

“Celebrating 20 Years of World Class Medical Research”
The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation was established in 1986 with the aim of raising funds and generating community support to ensure that The Prince Charles Hospital remains at a world class level for treatment and research for the benefit of all Queenslanders.
During 2006, the Foundation provided $1.08million in funding to 22 medical research projects being conducted at The Prince Charles Hospital campus. The areas of research covered were diverse, and significant work is being undertaken in the areas of heart and lung disease, transplantation, improved orthopaedic procedures and better outcomes for geriatric and mental health patients. The Foundation’s ability to fund this significant research was due to the generosity of donors and the considerable time donated by a large group of volunteers, including the Foundation’s board members, and those who work tirelessly to raise funds.
Information on how to make a donation to The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation is available in our brochures Research – The key to better health and Bequests – Your investment in future generations. Or you can telephone us on 1800 501 269 or call in to our office in the Education Centre at The Prince Charles Hospital.
