The Office of the Chief Nursing Officer develops nursing and midwifery policy & strategy and provides strategic advice on professional nursing and midwifery issues to: Nurses, Midwives, Health Service Districts, the Office of the Director-General, the Minister for Health, and other units within Corporate Office.
The role of the Chief Nursing Officer is to promote the profession of nursing and midwifery within Queensland, nationally and internationally.
