Clinical Research Coordinators Forum 8 & 9 Sep 2011 Brisbane
CRC Forum 2011
On 8 and 9 September 2011, the OHMR conducted a Clinical Research Coordinators’ Forum in Brisbane. The forum was opened by the Director-General of Queensland Health, Dr Tony O’Connell, and included presentations by representatives from the REGU, OHMR, Queensland Civil and Guardianship Tribunal (QCAT) and clinical research coordinators.
One of the highlights of the forum was ‘The Hypothetical’ which involved a panel discussion with industry, Clinical Research Organisation (CRO), HREC, research governance and research coordinator representation. The hypothetical focussed on the conduct of a clinical trial; commencing from how a sponsor/contract research organisation identifies studies and selects sites, through to HREC and research governance approvals and the conduct of the study.
The forum was attended by over 150 people from both the private and public sector. To ensure you are notified of all future forums please either join our mailing list or our Clinical Research Coordinators Network group by emailing REGU at regu@health.qld.gov.au.
Presentations from the forum will be made available in October 2011.
