We recognise that research is vital for the continuing assessment and development of new and emerging treatments and models of healthcare. Researchers are integral to the provision of high quality healthcare in Queensland. We know a strong research, education and training capability in essential for a modern health system.

The Office of Health and Medical Research provides support and advice for all aspects of health and medical research that is conducted in Queensland. This includes the relevant information and instructions for research ethics review and research governance for single-site and multi-site projects, funding, intellectual property management and knowledge transfer and commercialisation.

We support interstate or international researchers wanting to apply for opportunities in Queensland or build collaborations and you should visit our research programs and grants page for further information on current and future opportunities to conduct your research in Queensland.
