Smart Health Research Grants ('Near Miss')

The Queensland Health Smart State Research Program provides discretionary funding for research proposals prepared by public sector employees, which were assessed as fundable, but unable to secure funding under the NHMRC Project Grant Scheme.

Applications are assessed based upon information received from NHMRC on an annual basis.
In 2010 the Office of Health and Medical Research awarded five Queensland Health researchers with one-off grants.
