Health and medical research fellowships

Health and Medical Research Fellowships were offered between 2010 and 2015 and included:

Senior Clinical Research Fellowships

Funding of up to $850,000 per annum for five years was provided to attract and retain clinician researchers to Queensland who were experienced clinician researchers with a credible track record in their field.

Health Research Fellowships

Funding of up to $150,000 per annum for three years was provided for salary support to allow Hospital and Health Services to back-fill the clinical time of early-mid career stage practicing clinicians or other health professionals to undertake clinical or health service research.

Clinical Academic Fellowships

Funding of up to $75,000 per annum for five years was provided towards the salary of new clinical academic positions. These fellowships were designed to increase collaboration between Queensland Government health care facilities and Queensland universities by jointly creating a new position for a clinical academic.
