Queensland Country Relieving Doctors (QCRD) Program
QLD Country Relieving Doctors' has been in operation for at least 35 years, with thousands of Queensland Resident Medical Officer's (RMOs) participating in this program. The aim of the 'QLD Country Relieving Doctors' program is to provide relief for annual, conference or study leave to our rural medical staff. The service provided through QCRD is an extremely valuable asset to Queensland Health as well as to Queensland's rural communities.
Periods of relief vary but can be anything from 1 week. The period of relief is determined by the amount of relief that the rural practitioner has been approved to take.
