The Queensland Health Rural Scholarship Scheme (QHRSS) provides benefits to the assisted students and to Queensland Health. Scholarship holders are provided with financial assistance to support them during full-time undergraduate tertiary study. Following graduation, Scholarship holders are contracted to be employed by Health Service Districts in rural health care facilities throughout the State, providing rural communities with essential health services.
Prosthetics and Orthotics Scholarship
This Scholarship is available to students in the final year of their degree.
Radiation Oncology Medical Physics Scholarship
This Scholarship is available to students undertaking a Masters of Medical Oncology Physics at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) who have 18 months left of their degree.
Clinical Placement Subsidy Scheme
The Clinical Placement Subsidy is designed to assist in reducing the costs associated with undertaking a clinical placement. The subsidy intendes to allow students to experience clinical practice in rural and remote, or regional settings across the state, and to assist in the completion of the clinical placement requirements of the university course.
