Population Health Scholarships

Scholarship Information

Queensland Health has again offered Population Health Scholarships in 2010.

This exciting opportunity wass available to four (4) students undertaking undergraduate or postgraduate Population Health disciplines. Each scholarship will be provided for a period of up to two years.

Undergraduate applicants must:

Be studying full-time
Have 2 years or less study remaining as at 1 January 2010

Postgraduate applicants must:

Have enrolled and be approved to commence study
Be studying full-time or part-time
Have 2 years or less study remaining as at 1 January 2010

Scholarship recipients will be guaranteed employment with the State’s largest employer of Population Health specialists: Queensland Health. After graduation, scholarship recipients are contracted to work for Queensland Health for a period of one (1) year. Applicants should apply for scholarships based on their desire to work in 'Areas of Need'.

Applicable Population Health Disciplines

For 2010, the Population Health Scholarship Scheme was available to the following population health disciplines:

Environmental Health
Epidemiology
Health Promotion
Public Health
