Bonded Medical Scholarship Scheme
In 2005 the Queensland Government made a commitment to fund 235 new medical student places at Griffith University, Gold Coast campus, in response to the increasing shortage of doctors in Queensland. In May 2008, the Commonwealth Government agreed to reimburse the Queensland Government for the cost of training the 235 medical students who will undertake studies in the Griffith University Graduate Medical Course from 2006-2013.
The aim of the Queensland Health Bonded Medical Scholarship (QHBMS) program is to train 235 additional doctors to work in Queensland Areas of Priority Service for 6 years following their graduation from the Griffith University Graduate Medical Course.
The terms of this Sample Agreement are indiciative only, and prospective students may not be offered a scholarship on the terms of the Sample Agreement.
