Orientation for New Employees
The orientation process provides up-to-date information, necessary resources and support, with the aim of assisting new employees to:

gain sufficient knowledge and skills to quickly become productive employees in their local workplace

feel welcome and secure while adjusting to their new work environment

understand their role in the department, including expected behaviours and responsibilities

foster enthusiasm for the department's values

understand the principal goals and functions of the Area/Division/District/Branch, Queensland Health, local service provision and whole-of-government priorities.
Queensland Health is continually looking to improve the way it works. New staff are encouraged to contribute to those improvements through constructive feedback.
