About Us
The Office of Rural and Remote Health was established in December 2008 as a result of the preceding Queensland Health Reform when it was recognised that there were significant issues in providing health services to rural and remote areas; and that there are people who work in rural and remote areas who are isolated from corporate structures.
The Office consists of Units in Roma, Toowoomba, Cairns and Brisbane bringing together various groups primarily concerned with rural and remote health issues under one structure.
