Princess Alexandra Hospital's Clinical Council is the key decision and policy making body for the hospital and was formed following changes in administration which involved the commencement of a Clinical CEO in 2006. Clinical Council is routinely held on a fortnightly basis.
Dr David Theile (Snr) as the District CEO is the Chair and membership is comprised of representation from all of the clinical divisions and support services, including the Centres for Health Research and the Senior Medical Staff Association.
Essentially, the purpose of the Clinical Council is to consider and prioritise clinical service delivery across the hospital.
The Clinical Council regularly reviews and reports on key functional areas of our services, for example, activity, quality and safety, finance and workforce and a standing agenda calendar has been developed for this purpose.
Guests are invited to attend to deliver presentations on topics of interest and those with specific expertise are invited to attend as required.
