Location
The main campus of Princess Alexandra Hospital is located on Ipswich Road, Woolloongabba, a ten-minute drive south of Brisbane's central business district:

main hospital building is accessible via the main entry off Ipswich Road. The campus also includes a number of additional buildings (see
maps below).

There are alternative wheelchair access points at Levels 1 and 2 via the campus entrance on Cornwall Street.

Emergency and after-hours (between 8:30pm and 5:30am) admissions are via the Emergency Department, accessible via the campus entrance on Cornwall Street.

Couriers with deliveries for the Supply Department should enter via the O'Keefe Service Drive at the Ipswich Road - O'Keefe Street intersection.

Parking
There are two privately operated car parks close to Princess Alexandra Hospital:
Brisbane City Council street restrictions apply in all streets surrounding the hospital.
Disabled parking
We encourage drivers to drop off patients with disabilities at the front entrance of the PAH main building, and then proceed to one of the privately operated parking facilities adjoining the hospital campus. Alternatively, people with a Disabled Parking Permit can park in disabled bays on Level 4 of the Metro multi-storey car park on the corner of Ipswich Road and O'Keefe Street. There is a link-way from this car park into the main foyer of the hospital. PAH staff can provide wheelchair assistance if required; please use the green courtesy phone at the entrance to the link-way on Level 5 of the car park to phone for assistance.
Public transport
Bus: There are a number of options for travelling to the Princess Alexandra Hospital by bus:

The PA Hospital Busway station is located on the hospital campus. There is a walkway leading directly from the station to the main foyer. Regular bus routes through the PA Hospital Busway station include: 109 (City), 169 (Eight Mile Plains), 139 (Sunnybank Hills) and 209 (Carindale).

Ipswich Road is a major bus route with frequent bus transport during the day. There are bus stops outside the hospital on Ipswich Road and Cornwall Street.

The Buranda Busway station is also a ten-minute walk from PAH. It also provides services to and from the city centre and southern suburbs.
Train:The nearest railways stations to Princess Alexandra Hospital are Dutton Park (Beenleigh line) and Buranda (Cleveland line).

Princess Alexandra Hospital has a shuttle bus running regularly between Ipswich Road and the main hospital building entrance.

Bicycle facilities

There are bicycle parking facilities on the ground floor of the Metro multi-storey car park, located on the corner of Ipswich Road and O'Keefe Street.

There is an bicycle/pedestrian overpass joined to the car park in order to get across Ipswich Road, as well as a walkway from the car park directly into the main foyer of the hospital.
