Arrival Details

Please go to Admission, on the ground floor near the Water Court when you arrive. If you are a surgical patient having surgery and being admitted on the day of your surgery, you need to contact the Surgical Care Unit between 4.30pm and 7.00pm on (07) 3240 5740, the afternoon  before your surgery to receive your admission and fasting times ( times will not be available before 4.30pm).

 


Please Note:

If your surgery is on Monday you must phone on the previous Friday.After a public holiday you must phone on the working day before the public holiday. If you are being admitted before the day if surgery, please do not phone this number.You will be asked to stop eating and drinking before coming to hospital, this includes chewing gum, lollies , and water.

For Day Surgery Patients:

Please tell the person who will be taking you home (your escort) that they will receive a phone call when you are ready to be discharged. If your escort had no phone or will not he home, please tell nursing staff when you arrive at the Surgical Care Unit.

If you need assistance with your mobilisation, ie. if you are disabled or elderly, you may arrive at the Transit and Discharge Lounge on the ground floor near the Main Entrance.
