If you are being admitted to the hospital, please try not to bring your valuables, or if possible, send them home with relatives or friends. Keep only a small quantity of cash for incidentals.
Small valuable items and cash may be safely stored in the Cashiers Office next to Admissions, Ground Level, Building 1. Please note that withdrawals can be made only during office hours between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday (except public holidays). If found, small valuable items and cash will be taken to the Cashiers Office.
Patient Personal Electrical Equipment
It is necessary to have electrical appliances checked as electrically safe by an accredited appliance tester and tagged accordingly prior to use within the hospital environment. A safety tag shall be attached to the appliance. The next test date must not expire before the anticipated discharge date of the patient. Faulty equipment may interfere with the operation of vital medical equipment. The hospital does not accept responsibility for damage to, or personal injury from such items. Television sets cannot be brought into the hospital. Out of date or untagged equipment is not allowed in this facility. To avoid delays in using such electrical equipment while in hospital is recommended that such items be tested by an accredited appliance tester and tagged prior to admission.
