Action on Disability within Ethnic Communities is a community based organisation which represents the rights and needs of people of non-English speaking background with a disability and their carers. ADEC provides advocacy, information, referral, education, training and consultancy.

Amparo Advocacy Inc stands up for people from a non-English speaking background with a disability who are being treated unfairly, abused or discriminated against. They speak, act and write on your behalf to protect your most basic needs.

Australian Clearinghouse for Youth Studies (ACYS)
aims to support youth organisations, youth workers, youth researchers and young people themselves, as well as policymakers, researchers and practitioners in other sectors working with youth.  The clearinghouse focuses on information about early adolescence to the early adult years (12 to 25 years).

Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention (AISRAP) is located Griffith University's Mt Gravatt campus, the Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention is at the forefront of national and international suicide research.

Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth (ARACY) is a national non-profit organisation of more than 1200 members (organisations and individuals), working to create better futures for Australia's children and young people.

Beyondblue is a national, independent, not-for-profit organisation working to address issues associated with depression, anxiety and related substance misuse disorders in Australia.   beyondblue is a bipartisan initiative of the Australian, state and territory governments with a key goal of raising community awareness about depression and anxiety, and reducing stigma associated with the illness.   beyondblue
works in partnership with health services, schools, workplaces, universities, media and community organisations, as well as people living with depression, to bring together their expertise around depression.

Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing is a Victorian based organisation that primarily supports the aged care sector to address the needs of elderly people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds by providing training, consultancy and translation services to the aged care sector as well as supporting ethnic communities in better understanding aged care services available in Australia. 

Centre for Culture, Ethnicity & Health offers a wide range of services that assist Australian organisations to meet the needs of refugee and migrant clients such as training, project management, research and information, community education and resource development.

Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY)
undertakes a range of programs, projects and policy initiatives aimed at enhancing the life opportunities of young people from culturally diverse backgrounds including direct support of young people; policy advice; information provision and research; sector support and development; youth leadership and mentoring programs; training and professional development; and community education.

Disability and Community Care Services is committed to providing leadership and support for sectors providing disability, community mental health, and home and community care.  We are responsible for developing policies and providing services and programs that support people with a disability, frail older people and those with a mental illness, their families and carers through the different stages of their life.

Immigrant Women's Support Service (IWSS) is a community based organisation which works with women and children of non-English speaking background who are, or have been, in violent domestic situations and/or have experienced rape and/or sexual assault.
IWSS is a crisis and support service which provides culturally appropriate support, information, short-term counselling and referral. The service employs bilingual/bicultural workers qualified in the social work and behavioural sciences field.

Institute for Cultural Diversity is a non-government organisation established in September 2007 to promote the value of cultural diversity for a democratic, creative and productive Australia.

KidsMatter aims to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children, reduce mental health problems amongst children, and achieve greater support for children experiencing mental health difficulties, and their families.  It includes KidsMatter Early Childhood, designed for implementation in preschools and long day care; and KidsMatter Primary Schools, designed for implementation in Australian primary schools.

Mental Health Council of Australia (MHCA) is the peak, national non-government organisation representing and promoting the interests of the Australian mental health sector, committed to achieving better mental health for all Australians.

Mental Illness Fellowship of Queensland  is a specialist mental health organisation providing services across south and central Queensland. They have offices in Brisbane, Gladstone, Gold Coast, Northern Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba.

Mental Illness Fellowship – Northern Queensland is a specialist mental health services provider in the North Queensland region – from Sarina in the south, Mt Isa and the border in the west and the Torres Strait Islands in the north. They have offices in Townsville, Cairns and Mackay.

Mindframe is the companion website to the Australian Government's Mindframe National Media Initiative in Australia. The sections of this website have been created to provide access to accurate information about suicide and mental illness and the portrayal of these issues in the news media and on stage and screen in Australia.

MindMatters is a national mental health initiative for secondary schools funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.  MindMatters is a resource and professional development program supporting Australian secondary schools in promoting and protecting the mental health and social and emotional wellbeing of all the members of school communities.

Multicultural Affairs Qld (MAQ) is responsible for providing advice on multicultural issues, co-ordinating multicultural policy development and planning across the Queensland Government and promoting positive community relations.

Multicultural Centre for Mental Health & Well-Being (Harmony Place) is a Queensland based NGO that provides case management/counselling; multicultural wellbeing program “Feeling Good, Having Fun”; Literacy for Work and Life program; African/Multicultural Peer Mentoring program.

Multicultural Health Qld provides information about multicultural training and education services, translated health information and links to websites that contain other useful multicultural health information.

Mental Health in Multicultural Australia (MHiMA) is a national program funded by the Australian Government to improve awareness of mental health and suicide prevention in culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.   In collaboration with other stakeholders, MHiMA actively promotes the mental health and wellbeing of Australia's diverse communities through policy advice, public promotion, resource development and community capacity building.

My language is a joint partnership between the State and Territory Libraries of NSW, QLD, SA, VIC, WA, NT and ACT.  As a way of enriching Australia’s linguistic and cultural cyberspace, seven State and Territory Libraries have created this portal to enable people to search and find information on the internet in over 60 languages.  MyLanguage provides access to over six-million information links: search engines, web directories, government websites, digital library projects and syndicated news headlines.

National Ethnic Disability Alliance (NEDA) is the only national voice advocating for the rights and interests of people from non-English speaking background (NESB) with a disability, their families and carers throughout Australia. 

NSW Multicultural Health Communication Service (Multicultural Communication) provides information and services to assist health professionals to communicate with non-English speaking communities throughout New South Wales. The NSW Department of Health funds the service, and endorses the multilingual health information published on the website. There are over 450 publications on health in a wide range of languages and a new publication is produced each month. Some multilingual resources produced by other services are also listed on this website and there are links to related websites.

Qld Alliance for Mental Health Inc is the peak body for the mental health community sector, working towards a community that values differences, promotes well-being and creates a sense of belonging.  The Queensland Alliance for Mental Health is an independent charity which represents community organisations working in mental health. 

Qld Multicultural Resource Directory (MAQ) provides a comprehensive listing of more than 1500 key organisations with an ethnic community focus in Queensland including ethnic media outlets; schools;

community, non-government & government organisations and agencies; Consuls; migrant service organisations; bilateral business associations and interstate multicultural offices.  The directory does not list private businesses.

Qld Program of Assistance to Survivors of Torture & Trauma (QPASTT)  provides flexible and cultural sensitive services to promote the health and wellbeing of people who have been tortured or who have suffered refugee related trauma prior to migrating to Australia.  QPASTT aims to provide services which address the range of physical, psychological and social needs that survivors of torture and trauma have. QPASTT is a not-for-profit, community organisation working across Queensland with offices located in the suburb of Yeronga in Brisbane and Toowoomba.

Refugee Health Qld provides refugees, special humanitarian entrants and asylum seekers with standard initial health assessments, including public health screening and catch-up vaccination; co-ordination of short term health management with additional support for complex cases; and supported referral to existing services for continuing care, in particular, general practitioners.  Priority will be given to those who are within the first six months of settlement and asylum seekers.

SANE Australia is a national charity helping people affected by mental illness.

Transcultural Mental Health Centre was established in 1993 as a NSW-wide service to promote access to mental health services for people of non-English speaking backgrounds (NESB). The Centre also works with consumers, carers, health professionals and the community to encourage positive attitudes to mental health.

Victorian Transcultural Psychiatry Unit (VTPU) is a statewide unit which supports mental health and psychiatric disability services in working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) consumers and carers throughout Victoria.

Women's Health Queensland Wide (WHQW) is a not-for-profit health promotion, information and education service.  Women's Health provides balanced information independent of health care provider interests for women and health workers.
