Complaints


As outlined in the NHMRC’s National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research 2007 (Chapter 5.6), complaints may be received about researchers or the conduct of research, or about the conduct of the HREC.  They may be made by participants, researchers, staff of institutions, or others. All complaints received will be handled promptly and sensitively.

 

The Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research (Section 9) describes ‘research misconduct’ and specifies institutional processes for dealing with it.

 

Complaints by patients about the conduct of an approved research project may be made in writing to:
