Indemnity

An indemnity is a contractual promise by one party to protect the other party from and against certain specified actions, claims or losses. Commercial sponsors proposing to engage in clinical trials or other research must provide indemnification by using the Medicines Australia Standard Form of Indemnity for Clinical Trials available at the Medicines Australia website (this document cannot be altered).

External organisations, researchers external to Queensland Health or those undertaking research in their private rooms wishing to utilise the services of the HREC must provide indemnification by submitting a signed Medicines Australia indemnity form  for 'HREC Review Only' which can be obtained from the Medicines Australia website (this document cannot be altered).

For further information refer to the Research Management Policy & Framework 2008.
