All Research involving Queensland Health staff, premises, resources or patients must be subject of a written research contract. A set of Clinical Trial Research Agreement (CTRA) templates have been developed by Medicines Australia for: commercially sponsored studies, for studies where a Contract Research Organisation is the local sponsor and for studies involving collaborative groups. To facilitate contract negotiations Queensland Health has adopted the Medicines Australia Standard Clinical Trail Agreement's as mandatory for all Industry sponsored and Contract Research Organisation sponsored clinical studies in Queensland Health facilities.

The CTRA and the CTRA CRO have special conditions negotiated with each company under Schedule 7. Companies that have already a negotiated schedule 7 are listed here. In relation to the CRG special conditions are negotiated under Schedule 4.
