Our unit focuses on incorporating innovative technologies to apply advanced intensive care practices.  Active participation in national and international research projects guarantees current up to date practices.

The Intensive Care Unit admits approximately 2000 patients per year.  It is comprised of general and post-operative areas. We offer a challenging case-mix and advanced clinical services. A paperless medical records system and digital imaging technology are used.

Currently there are two full time equivalent educators, two full time clinical facilitators, two clinical nurse consultants (Post op and General) as well as a nurse unit manager.
