Diagnostic Radiology

 

The Division of Diagnostic Radiology of the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, provides a 24-hour clinical support service to medical staff, other clinical departments, as well as the surrounding community. The Department incorporates a complete Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).

 

All general radiological services as well as advanced imaging technology including Ultrasound, Computerised Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, all major Angiography including cardiac, Nuclear Medicine and Bone Mineral Densitometry are provided. The Radiology Department has modern equipment, 3 CT ‘s, including a 64 slice CT Scanner, two state of the art MRI’s, biplane flat panel digital angiography and contemporary ultrasound machines.

 

The Division is an accredited centre that provides education and training for registrars, radiography graduates and students, nursing staff and medical students.
