Pathways to Rural and Remote Orientation and Training - PaRROT

Welcome to working in primary health care

The Pathways to Rural and Remote Orientation and Training (PaRROT) flexible learning program has been developed to provide orientation and training about your role, team work, resources, and prevention and management of chronic disease using a primary health care approach.

PaRROT is a learner centred program, supporting preferred learning styles (visual, auditory, reading and kinaesthetic). It allows the learner to identify their own needs and supports a pathways approach from introductory theoretical concepts to practical application of specialist knowledge. See pathway examples.

PaRROT resources are available in a number of other formats, including electronic and print manuals, facilitator resources and CD. Please contact the PaRROT team at parrot_contact@health.qld.gov.au for more information.
