Please note: The Royal Australasian College of  Surgeons has recently launched the WHO Surgical Safety Checklist, which encompasses the "3C's" approach, but also covers a broader range of surgical safety.  Patient Safety Centre is currently commencing dialogue with stakeholders to establish how we can support the College in the WHO Surgical Safety Checklist initiative.  As an interim, (and given that 3C's forms part of the checklist), we are happy to support the use of 3C's consumer materials.  Once the final approach to the WHO Checklist is defined, these materials may be modified.
