Queensland Mental Health Patient Safety Plan
Queensland Mental Health Patient Safety Plan(currently in draft) which was prepared by the Queensland Health Patient Safety Centre and Mental Health Branch on behalf of the State-wide Mental Health Network. This plan includes six key safety themes:
- The reduction of suicide and self harm.
- The reduction of aggressive behaviour in mental health settings, and the minimisation of the used of seclusion and restraint.
- Best practice use of medication.
- Safe transport
- Cultural safety of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Safety of mental health services for consumers, carers and families.
