Health Management Protocols (HMP) outline the situations and conditions under which the drugs, listed in the Drug Therapy Protocols (DTP) for Authorised Indigenous Health Workers, may be administered and/or supplied by Authorised Indigenous Health Workers on a Medical Officer’s instruction, unless otherwise stated.
Indigenous Health Workers must be authorised to practise under the DTP. Authorisation requires the successful completion of an approved course4 and approval by the Health Service District.
