The revision of the Manual for Primary Clinical Care (1993) was funded by a grant from Queensland Health. The revision was necessary to ensure the Manual’s compliance with the Health (Drugs and Poisons) Regulation 1996. The extent of the changes required by the legislation and changes in practice has resulted in the Manual being essentially rewritten. This current Manual (1998) was developed by a project team of staff from the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS), Queensland Section (RFDS) in partnership with staff of North Queensland Rural Health Training Unit – Cairns (NQRHTU).
