About this report

This report provides an overview of the structure, issues and environment which has shaped Queensland Health during the 2000-2001 financial year, and the strategies used to achieve its objectives.
Key achievements and financial reports are described in terms of the five organisational outputs of the 2000-2001 Queensland Health Budget. These are aligned closely to the department's Managing for Outcomes framework documented in the Queensland Health Strategic Plan 2000-2010.

Budget 2000-2001

Queensland Health had final operating revenues of $4.0 billion. Of this, the Commonwealth provided $1.448 billion (about 36.2 per cent) through the Australian Health Care Agreement, the Home and Community Care Agreement and other specific purpose grants and payments.
