Queensland resident children four years of age or older who have not completed Year 10 of secondary school are universally eligible for publicly funded oral health care (even if your child is not eligible for CDBS).

In an effort to reduce waiting lists, Metro South Hospital and Health Service has entered into a National Partnership Agreement with the Commonwealth Government, which provides additional funding for general, emergency and prosthetic dental services. In some cases, patients are provided with a voucher to access treatment from a dentist or prosthetist who has entered into an agreement with Metro South Oral Health, to provide services to publicly funded patients.
