Reducing waiting lists

In an effort to reduce waiting lists, Metro South Hospital and Health Service has entered into a National Partnership Agreement with the Commonwealth Government, which provides additional funding for general, emergency and prosthetic dental services. In some cases, patients are provided with a voucher to access treatment from a dentist or prosthetist who has entered into an agreement with Metro South Oral Health, to provide services to publicly funded patients. Water fluoridation

Water fluoridation commenced in South-East Queensland in December 2008. For more information on oral health and fluoride go to: http://www.health.qld.gov.au/fluoride/.
