Molecular and Clinical Pathology Research Laboratory (MaCH R)

The Molecular and Clinical Pathology Research Laboratory (MaCH R) is an initiative of Pathology Queensland with funding for equipment provided by the Smart State Innovation Building Fund, Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDI). This facility, located at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, is a core research facility dedicated to providing cutting edge laboratory support to existing research groups within Queensland to improve patient outcomes.

This facility incorporates the MaCH R Tumour Bank (previously PA Tumour Tissue Bank) based at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. This facility collects and stores fresh/frozen material and blood for on-going research.
