QHSSP Private Practice Support Service
Who we are
The Private Practice Support Service performs a number of functions, such as:

Establish one central point of engagement with all District Private Practice units seeking application support and business related advice;

Provide accountable, authorised operational system/business support, analysis and advice to all levels of management and key stakeholders throughout Queensland Heath, utilising Practice Management Systems, financial information and knowledge of Queensland Health business functions;

Define a business support model to maintain Best Practice guidelines for Private Practice Management areas;

Provide computerised accessible Help Desk service during business hours that would provide timely and accurate business information and application support for QH sites utilizing the standardised Practice Management System;

Facilitate information management activities, including extraction, analysis and interpretation of data in compliance with Queensland Health audit requirements;

Provide a lead role in contract and SLA formulation and performance management with Vendors and Information Division hosting services;

Provide specialist private practice advice and support to Health Service Districts by contributing to state-wide and zonal communications and information sharing on private practice revenue initiatives;

Links with QH Corporate and Statewide HR/IR Policy and Strategy Centre to ensure compliance with state and federal legislation eg award entitlements;

Links with key medical agency stakeholders to foster awareness of current Medicare Australia, Department of Veterans Affairs and Health Fund initiatives (ECLIPSE); and

Produce and disseminate documented work practice guidelines. Set up
QHEPS training guides (on line training modules).
