at The Prince Charles Hospital
The treatment room is specially set-up for medical and nursing staff to perform a variety of procedures and investigations in a totally separate environment from the rest of the ward. The main idea is that children's bedrooms and play areas are designated "safe zones", where children need not feel threatened. Blood tests, intravenous therapy insertion, wound care, echocardiographs, electrocardiograms and others are performed in this treatment room. In this friendly environment, children can lie down on the back of Hillary the Hippo and look at the footprints the dinosaurs have made on the ceiling.
