Playrooms and Dining Room

The ward has two play areas - one indoors with a cubby house, TV, Video and chalkboard; the second area is an outside playroom, which directly links off the indoor play area. These areas allow the children to have the opportunity to play and have fun. Rocking horses, building blocks, train sets, dressing up clothes and low tables for colouring and painting are provided. There is also a reading corner in both the outside playroom and the dining area with a great selection of children's books for all ages.

A dining room is available in the ward and children are encouraged to eat there when possible. This encourages with interaction with other children and helps recovery after their procedure.

The ward also has a number of computer game consoles -Playstation One and Two, Nintendo 64 and three mobile fun centres (donated by the Starlight Foundation) with TV/Video and N64 games consoles on them.
