Guiding Principles for Conduct of QPHF Activities
The following guiding principles direct the conduct of QPHF activities:
- Strengthening partnerships and cooperation between agencies utilising a public health approach.
- Promoting policy alignment and compatibility across government and non-government organisations’ public health programs.
- Promoting the concept that good health is a complex interaction of physical, social, cultural, environmental, economic and other determinants.
- Advocate for an enhancement in strategies that address health inequalities and aim to improve the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse and other vulnerable populations in Queensland.
- Facilitating cooperation in policy planning and program delivery.
- Adopting consultative processes to identify and foster partnership opportunities.
- Strive for innovative, flexibile approaches to public health issues in a continuous quality improvement framework.
