Key Priorities - Active Living

Active Living

The Queensland Public Health Forum (QPHF) has identified Physical Activity as a priority issue for action and has subsequently developed the Active Living Strategic Statement including the framework for Be Active Queensland. This strategic statement considers the evidence and the consequences of physical inactivity and recommends appropriate actions.

QPHF and the Active Living Working Group developed a promotion strategy, Be Active Queensland in partnership with Queensland Health and was launched in October 2006. Be Active Queensland is a health sector response to physical activity in Queensland in line with Be Active Australia and incorporates the core elements of the national framework.

Be Active Queensland

Queensland Public Health Forum in partnership with Queensland Health and other Government sectors has developed the first active living strategy developed for all Queenslanders. Be Active Queensland 2006 - 2010: A framework for health sector action for physical activity in Queensland provides a framework for action, collaboration across sectors and identifies priorities with the potential to achieve health gain.
